MATH 140 - Precalculus

5 lecture hours, no lab hours, 5 credit hours
Replaces MATH 130: College Algebra and MATH 131: Trigonometry as preparation for calculus. Topics include quadratic equations, systems of linear equations, inequalities, functions, graphs, exponential and logarithmic functions, complex numbers, theory of equations, trigonometric functions, graphs, solving triangles and equations, vectors, and polar coordinates. This course is intended for calculus bound students. Prerequisite(s): Score of 23 on the ACT or permission of department head.
