  • MOVH 246 - Automatic Transmissions Lab

    No lecture hours, 3 lab hours, 1 credit hour
    Laboratory component to accompany MOVH 244. General automatic transmission/transaxle skills. Students learn theory of operation, hydraulic principles and torque convertor operation, planetary gear set operation, band/servo, one-way clutch and multiple disc clutch operation. Students check and adjust clutch pack clearance and endplay as well as use component application charts, a scan tool, DMM and pressure gauges to diagnose electronic transmission concerns. Prerequisite(s): MOVH 101, MOVH 130, and MOVH  231. Corequisite(s): MOVH 244.

    Automotive heating and air conditioning skills. Students integrate the need for driver and passenger comfort with the principles of latent heat. Refrigerant systems operation, controls, diagnosis, repair and service procedures include cycling clutch orifice tube and thermostatic expansion valve systems.     Biological, physiological and anatomical aspects of nuclear medicine procedures involving the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and endocrine systems. Methods of radionuclide therapy included. Prerequisite(s): NUMT 251.
  
  • NUMT 253 - Clinical Procedures III

    Biological, physiological and anatomical aspects of nuclear medicine procedures involving the central nervous system. Includes methods of inflammatory and tumor imaging as well as in vitro procedures performed by radioimmunoassay. Prerequisite(s): NUMT 252.
  
  • NUMT 261 - Practicum in Nuclear Medicine I

    No lecture hours, 30 lab hours, 3 credit hours
    Supervised clinical experience in assigned affiliate sites including observation of procedures, obtaining patient histories, patient positioning, camera set-up, computer acquisition and processing, injection techniques and radionuclide administration, patient monitoring, and scheduling of procedures.
