Spring 2018 Registration: October 16, 2017 - January 7, 2018

Spring 2018 Financial Aid Deadlines

  • Students who attended in Fall 2017 do not need to complete another FAFSA for Spring 2017, unless you were not packaged for the Fall/Spring 2017-2018 academic year.
  • October 30, 2017 - December 8, 2017 - Spring 2018 Satisfactory Academic Progression Financial Aid Appeal Application timeline - Appeal and supporting documentation must be submitted by December 8, 2017 in order to be considered for Spring 2018 financial aid funding. Students who miss the appeal deadline must be prepared to pay the entire balance; however, students may be reimbursed if financial aid appeal is approved and all other required documents are processed and approved. Students will not be eligible for a bookstore credit.
  • 2017-2018 Federal student grants/loans - priority FAFSA deadline to apply is November 6, 2017. Completed files will be eligible for authorized book vouchers and classes will be secured.
  • 2017-2018 Priority FAFSA Verification document submission deadline - November 10, 2017. All documents must be submitted by this date to be considered for an award letter and eligible for a bookstore voucher.
  • December 11, 2017 - January 26, 2018 - Satisfactory Academic Progression Financial Aid Appeal Application timeline - Appeal and supporting documentation may be submitted, however students must be prepared to pay the entire balance; however, students may be reimbursed if financial aid appeal is approved and all other required documents are processed and approved. Students will not be eligible for a bookstore credit.

Spring 2018 Semester (16 Weeks)

January

  • 3 - 2- Satisfactory Academic Progression Financial Aid Appeal Application timeline - appeal and supporting documentation may be submitted, however students must be prepared to pay the entire balance; however, students may be reimbursed if financial aid appeal is approved and all other required documents are processed and approved - students will not be eligible for a bookstore credit
  • 3 - 5, Wednesday - Friday - Spring 2018 registration in person
  • 5, Friday - Deadline to submit academic suspension appeals for Spring 2018 / 3 p.m. payment deadline for in person regular registration
  • 7, Sunday, 12 noon - Online payment deadline - schedules must be secured and/or paid to prevent being deleted
  • 8 - 14 - Late registration online
  • 8 - 9, Monday -Tuesday - College Faculty/Staff Convocation
  • 10, Wednesday - First day to use bookstore credit - books may be purchased using bookstore voucher for students who are eligible if financial aid has been processed and authorized for at least 48 hours
  • 10 - 12, Wednesday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. - Late registration in person
  • 13, Saturday - CLASSES BEGIN
  • 14, Sunday, 12 noon - Online payment deadline - schedules must be secured and/or paid to prevent being deleted
  • 15, Monday - Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, no classes
  • 16 - 17, Tuesday - Wednesday, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Late registration, drop/add in person *Registration extended to Tuesday, January 23*
  • 17, Wednesday, 6 p.m. - Final date to add courses, change sections, change from credit to audit or audit to credit / Last date for admission to the College for Semester *Extended to Tuesday, January 23*
  • 21, Sunday, 12 noon - Online payment deadline - schedules must be secured and/or paid to prevent being deleted
  • 22 - 29, Monday - Monday, 8 p.m. - Nightly payment deadline - schedules must be secured and/or paid to prevent being deleted
  • 23, Tuesday - Last day to use bookstore credit
  • 24, Wednesday - Deadline for 100% tuition adjustment *Extended to January 26*
  • 26, Friday - Final deadline to submit SAP appeals
  • 30, Tuesday - Official 14th Class (Census) Day *Extended to Tuesday, February 1*
    • 2 p.m. - Final payment deadline - schedules must be secured and/or paid to prevent being deleted
    • 4:30 p.m. - Last date to drop without “W” on student transcripts
    • Deadline for 50% tuition adjustment - after this date, no adjustments are given - students are responsible for full tuition and fee rates after this date, regardless or withdrawal or attendance *Extended to January 27 - February 1*
  • 31, Sunday - Student disbursement of financial aid funding - first-time freshman disbursements will be applied at a later date

February

  • 10 - 14, Saturday - Wednesday - Mardi Gras holiday, no classes
  • 15, Thursday - Installment payment due
  • 16, Friday - first-time borrower student loan funds disbursed 
  • 23, Friday, 4:30 p.m. - Second deadline to apply for May graduation - after this date a “late fee” will be assessed

March

  • 6, Tuesday, 8 a.m. - Beginning of midterm exams
  • 9, Friday, 4:30 p.m. - Last date to apply for May Graduation - applications received after this date will be processed for December graduation
  • 12, Monday - End of midterm exams 
  • 13, Tuesday, 1 p.m. - Midterm grading period ends / Final date for completion of non-traditional credits
  • 15, Thursday - Installment payment due
  • 29 - April 1, Thursday - Sunday - Spring holiday, no classes

April

  • 2, Monday, 4:30 p.m. - First priority deadline to apply for December 2018 graduation
  • 3, Tuesday, 6 p.m. - Final day for dropping Spring Semester courses with a “W” or withdrawing from College
  • 15, Sunday - Installment payment due
  • 16 - May 27 - Summer/Fall 2018 registration in person and online
  • 23, Monday, 4:30 p.m. - Last date for reinstatement to be processed in Registrar’s office
  • 30, Monday - Last day of class

May

  • 1, Tuesday, 8 a.m. - Beginning of final exams
  • 4, Friday, 12 midnight - Final grades due for final exams given on Tuesday, May 1 and Wednesday, May 2
  • 5, Saturday - Final exams for Saturday classes
  • 7, Monday, 12 midnight - Final grades due for final exams given on Thursday, May 3; Friday, May 4; and Saturday, May 5
  • 8, Tuesday, 11 p.m. - End of final exams; final grades due for online courses
  • 9, Wednesday, 1 p.m. - Final grading period ends / Final grades due for final exams given on Monday, May 7 and Tuesday, May 8 / Grade books due in divisional offices
  • 10, Thursday, 4:30 p.m. - End of Spring Semester
  • 15, Tuesday, 10 a.m. - Commencement
  • 28, Monday - Memorial Day holiday, College closed


Tuition Adjustment Schedule / Withdrawal from College / Reduction in Credit Hours:

  • Through January 24 - 100%
  • January 25 - 30 - 50%
  • After January 30 - NONE

Spring 2018 Minisessions

Registration: Follows full term registration
Classes begin: January 16
Census Day: January 22 *Extended to January 26*
Last day to drop courses with a “W”: February 20
Last day to reinstate a course: February 26
Final Exams: March 8

  • 13, Saturday - Federal student grants/loans for students attending priority FAFSA deadline to apply - completed files will be eligible for authorized aid to be secured
  • 20, Sunday - Priority FAFSA Verification document submission deadline - all documents must be submitted by this date to be considered for an award letter and eligible authorized aid to be secured
  • 22 - February 1 - Spring 2018 Satisfactory Academic Progression Financial Aid Appeal Application timeline - Appeal and supporting documentation must be submitted in order to be considered for financial aid funding. Students who miss the appeal deadline must be prepared to pay the entire balance; however, students may be reimbursed if financial aid appeal is approved and all other required documents are processed and approved
  • 31 - February 7 - Registration *Extended to February 2 - 7*

February

Spring 2018 Second Start Session (8 Weeks)
