Discussion of drug classifications and their effects on various body structures. Therapeutic effects, side effects, adverse reactions, drug interactions, nursing implications, and safety precautions and guidelines are emphasized in each classification. The nursing process is integrated into this course to assess the client’s learning needs and effects of pharmacological interventions. Prerequisite(s): PRNU 101, 103, and NURS 110.
