NURS 251 - Special Populations III1 lecture hour, no lab hours, 1 credit hour Builds on information presented in the first three levels of the Nursing degree program. In identifying and applying the nursing process and giving special emphasis to assessment, nutritional, mental health, health language, and community considerations in the care of geriatric individuals, the learner will have opportunities to achieve basic competencies in patient-centered care, collaboration, quality improvement, informatics, evidence-based practice and safety. Prerequisite(s): “C” or higher in NURS 220, and NURS 223, and NURS 225.
