TEAC 203 - Teaching & Learning in Diverse Settings II2 lecture hours, 2 lab hours, 3 credit hours Introduces candidates to the field of teaching and focuses on the diverse needs of students. Two primary topics will be addressed within the course: an introduction to education and child development/psychology. The course will involve a combination of lecture and site-based experiences within schools. This course is the second of a two course sequence. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance to the Associate of Science in Teaching program, Candidacy for Graduation, ENGL 101, ENGL 102, MATH 130, Passage of Praxis I (PPST Pre-Professional Skills Test) or possess an ACT composite score of 22 or an SAT combined Verbal and Math score of 1030, TEAC 201, and permission of the program director.
