BTEC 274 - Introduction to Nucleic Acids

Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) extraction, DNA purification, Polymerase Chain Reactions, Gel Electrophoresis, DNA quantitation, plasmid construction and topics involving DNA use in modern research settings. Intended for students who are enrolled Biotechnology concentration of the Science Laboratory Technology degree program. Prerequisite(s): “C” or higher in SCIE 132 and admission to the Science Labortory Technology degree program. Course/Lab Fee $50
