ASLS 101 - American Sign Language I3 lecture hours, no lab hours, 3 credit hours Focuses on the basic lexicon and structure of American Sign Language (ASL). Appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and social behavior are introduced to develop conversational skills in ASL. Information about the Deaf community and Deaf culture will be introduced. This course is designed for students who have little or no previous knowledge of ASL. Course instruction is primarily in ASL.
