ASLS 261 - English-to-ASL Interpreting3 lecture hours, no lab hours, 3 credit hours Focus is on the process of English-to-ASL interpretation. The course emphasizes using expanded vocabulary, semantically appropriate linguistic features, increased language fluency, and ethical decision-making processes. Information about the Deaf community and Deaf culture is included. Course instruction is primarily in ASL. Prerequisite(s): ASLS 201, and ASLS 220, and ASLS 235.
