EMTE 226 - Introduction to Preparatory EMS and Patient Assessment LaboratoryNo lecture hours, 12 lab hours, 3 credit hours Practical application of clinical skills specific to pre-hospital care providers: patient assessment, documentation, therapeutic communications and IV therapy. Field observation on an emergency medical unit. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 161 and BIOL 163. Currently Louisiana-Licensed and Nationally Registered as Emergency Medical Technician-Basic or- Intermediate or permission of instructor. Eligibility for ENGL 101 and MATH 096. Corequisite(s): EMTE 225. Course/Lab Fee $60
