MATH 220 - Applied Calculus3 lecture hours, no lab hours, 3 credit hours [LCCN: CMAT 2103]I
Introduction to differential and integral calculus with an emphasis on applications; designed primarily for business, economics, and social sciences. Topics include limits, the first and second derivative, the first and second derivative tests for relative extrema, exponential and logarithmic functions, the definite and indefinite integral, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Calculus will be used to solve real world applications. Prerequisite(s): “C” or higher in MATH 128, MATH 130, MATH 133, or MATH 203; or a score of 99-120 on the Accuplacer College Level Math placement exam; or a score of 276-300 on the Accuplacer Next Generation ANG AAF placement exam; or an ACT Math score of 26 or higher.
