ELET 295 - Solar Fundamentals

3 lecture hours, 4 lab hours, 4 credit hours
Design and application of solar energy engineering.  Fundamentals of solar energy conversion, photovoltaic and photothermal engineering, optical systems, photoelectrochemical cells for hydrogen generation, and energy storage and distribution systems.  Covers solar energy insolation and global energy needs, current trends in solar plants, thin film solar cells, and solar cell material science.  Prerequisite(s): ELET 101.
