CHEM 101 - Chemistry I (non-science majors)3 lecture hours, no lab hours, 3 credit hours [LCCN: CCEM 1103]
Introduction to nomenclature; atomic structure; chemical equations and stoichiometry; gas laws; bonding. Quantitative problem solving. Energy relationships and solutions. Students without high school chemistry may use this course to prepare for more rigorous CHEM 141. Prerequisite(s): MATH 098 or higher and eligibility for ENGL 101. Course/Lab Fee $15
