RADT 101 - Radiologic Technology I5 lecture hours, no lab hours, 5 credit hours Radiography and its role in health care delivery. Positioning nomenclature, imaging equipment, radiation safety, radiographic contrast media, x-ray imaging receptors, processing of images, positioning of chest and abdomen. Infection control, use of tubes, catheters, medical emergencies, communication, and patient care. Professional organizations, social and ethical health care issues, moral, legal, and social responsibilities. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into Radiologic Technology program. Corequisite(s): RADT 113.
