NURS 125 - Nursing II4 lecture hours, 9 lab hours, 7 credit hours Builds on the concepts of nursing, persons as patients, health, environment, the designated concepts and mandates which form the basis of the nursing curriculum. Exemplars of chronic health conditions are used to further explain each concept and enhance the learner’s understanding of the biological, psychological, social, and professional dimensions of nursing. In applying the nursing process while emphasizing assessment, pharmacological, nutritional, mental health, health language, and community considerations, the learner will have opportunities to demonstrate competencies in patient-centered care, collaboration, quality improvement, informatics, evidence-based practice, and safety. Special emphasis will be given to the care of one or more persons with altered health conditions in varying health care settings. Prerequisite(s): “C” or higher in: NURS 113, NURS 117, BIOL 252, and BIOL 254. The following prerequisite courses may be taken concurrently with NURS 125: NURS 127. Course/Lab Fee $325
