BIOL 281 - Introduction to Ecology3-0-3 Concepts of ecology, climatic adaptations, social relations among animals, population genetics, population dynamics, life histories, competition, predation, community ecology, and ecosystem function. Emphasis on keystone species and local examples of mesohabitats and microhabitats. Prerequisite(s): “C” or better in BIOL 141, 143. Corequisite(s): BIOL 283 and 142, 144 or permission of instructor and department chair.
