Information Security/Assurance, C.T.C.


CAREER AND TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH

The certificate program in Information Security/Assurance prepares students to plan, coordinate, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to computer data files and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information while maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information for use by authorized users. 

The College also offers an Associate of Applied Science degree program in Computer Information Technology, with a concentration in Information Security/Assurance.  Learn more about this program.  

Student Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Information Security/Assurance Certificate program, the learner will be able to:

  • Prevent information system problems by using security best practices (SLO #1)
  • Determine appropriate defense measures against malware, exploits, and other threats to information systems and networks (SLO #2)
