CAREER AND TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

The purpose of the Career and Technical Certificate (CTC) program is to provide foundational courses, including the Introduction to Hospitality and the Introduction to Travel and Tourism that cover the key skills needed to enter the workforce as well as the key soft skills competencies addressed in the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP) and the Certified Hospitality and Tourism Management Professional (CHTMP) designed by the American Hotel and Lodging Association.

The College offers an additional Certificate program and an Associate degree program in Hospitality Management.  Learn more about these programs:

Student Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Hospitality Management Certificate program, the learner will be able to:

  • List and describe the operations relative to the provision of goods and services in hospitality management (SLO #1)
  • Distinguish and explain the reports of financial management to operations related to hospitality management (SLO #2)
  • Identify the various career opportunities within the hospitality industry (SLO #3)
