Computer Repair Certification, C.T.C.


CAREER AND TECHNICAL CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH

The goal of this certificate program is to provide an overview of the CompTIA A+ certification program, the industry standard for validating the skills expected of entry-level computer technicians.  Topics covered include motherboards, memory, processors, video, storage media and devices, printers, operating systems, networking, virtualization, mobile devices, and security.  Students who successfully complete the Career and Technical Certificate in A+ Certification will be well versed in the industry-standard concepts covered by the current CompTIA A+ exams.

The College also offers an Associate of Applied Science degree program in Electronics Service Technology and a Certificate of Technical Studies program in Computer and Electronics Repair Technology.  Learn more about these programs:

Student Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the Computer Repair Certificate program, the learner will be able to:

  • Analyze and troubleshoot computer hardware and software issues (SLO #1)
  • Plan and perform repairs on computing equipment using industry best practices (SLO #2)
